Beautiful is an oil painting study, that I ended up liking really well. While painting her, a ladies meeting at our church, named Beautiful, was being planned and I felt impressed to contribute the painting for the meeting. The following short inspirational poem came to me before I finished the painting:

Lady, whose light does shine
washed in Jesus' blood
Abides in and is dependent upon the Vine
Growing, and people she loves
Her obedience produces fruit
And the Father, she desires to please
Full of His Spirit and truth
She is rightly beautiful and complete.

In one of the suburbs east of Dallas, Texas, Candace began her art journey with dry media, such as colored pencil, pen, graphite, pastel and charcoal in 2000. By 2003, she began painting in oil, of which, as she expresses, is her favorite medium. Her artwork involves painting in oil on canvas or panel with brushes, palette knives, toothpicks and anything else that will provide the desired expression for the painting at hand, ranging from realism to a slightly looser style.
